After over three years, Yelawolf has finally released his follow-up to Radioactive. Commercially, Yela’s debut album was a flop, but it still had some good records.
He was also still finding his sound, which has evolved a lot through several mixtapes.Love Story is what you get when you combine hip-hop, rock and country influence, and add in a lot of your own personal life.
This isn’t necessarily a biographical album from Yelawolf, but he touches on a lot of things he’s been through in a non-linear way. Eminem is the only guest feature on ‘Best Friend.’ It says a lot for Yelawolf to be able to carry almost all of the album by himself.
